Description

About Bright

Bright is a leading provider of accounting and payroll software for SMEs across the UK and Ireland. With approximately 350 employees and ambitious growth plans, we're focused on developing innovative technology that disrupts the accounting and payroll software landscape to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

At Bright, we view AI as a key enabler of our vision. Our dedicated AI team, established well before the GenAI boom, brings deep expertise and a pragmatic understanding of AI's capabilities and limitations to our products and services.

The Role

As part of our expanding AI team, we're seeking talented graduates to join as AI Solution Engineers. You'll work with our established infrastructure and tooling to implement AI solutions both for our customer-facing products and internal operations.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Build and deploy AI-enabled workflows and integrations
  • Work closely with our AI team to implement effective solutions
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and technical specifications
  • Test and troubleshoot deployed solutions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our AI implementation practices

The Ideal Candidate

Required

We're looking for graduates with a blend of technical aptitude and business acumen. While deep AI expertise isn't required, you should have:

  • Basic understanding of workflow automation
  • Foundational knowledge of Python programming
  • Interest in learning JavaScript
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with any workflow automation tools
  • Familiarity with APIs and third-party integrations
  • Knowledge of JIRA or similar project management tools
  • Interest in conversation design
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts

Don't worry if you don't tick every box – we value potential and enthusiasm as much as existing skills. This role is perfect for graduates looking to build a career in applied AI.

What We Offer

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to develop in-demand AI implementation skills
  • Work with a talented, ambitious team in a supportive environment
  • Fully remote work arrangement (with occasional office visits as needed, expenses covered)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private Medical Insurance (after probation)
  • Pension scheme
  • Competitive salary package based on your skills and potential
  • Clear career progression path with mentorship from experienced AI professionals
  • Training and development opportunities

Join Our Team

If you're a recent graduate with technical aptitude, strong analytical skills, and a passion for applying AI to solve real business problems, we'd love to hear from you. Join us on our mission to transform the accounting and payroll software landscape through innovative AI solutions
