This is a great opportunity to play a key role in our global customs strategy! Over the next five years, we're consolidating our customs systems worldwide and standardizing our operations on CargoWise One. While CargoWise One is a SaaS solution managed by the vendor, we need a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee crucial aspects of testing and release management for this enterprise-level software.

We have a preference for candidates based in the UK, but we are open to considering candidates also from EU countries.

How you create impact

As the Global Customs Systems Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our CargoWise One system. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing system operations for CargoWise One, ensuring established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met for our users and customers.
  • Designing, implementing, and operating robust change and release management processes for CargoWise One.
  • Coordinating the monthly release cycle testing across various environments and countries within the region. You'll also implement Quality
  • Assurance processes to support our continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating closely with national customs teams to coordinate the delivery of new functionalities and enhancements.
  • Managing a first-level support team within our shared service center, ensuring prompt and effective user assistance.
  • Coordinating incident management in conjunction with our internal IT teams and the software vendor to resolve issues efficiently.

What we would like you to bring

  • Strong experience in customs brokerage, in either UK and/or EU.
  • Experience with CargoWise One is highly desired, though candidates with strong experience in customs, logistics, or operations management are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience in release and change management of enterprise-grade systems (e.g., ERPs, CRMs, TMSs).
  • Experience in defining, creating, and executing test cases, ideally with the technical skills to automate these processes.
  • A resourceful and "can-do" attitude, supported by strong analytical skills to fully own problems and drive their resolutions.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential. Professional proficiency in any other major European language is a significant advantage.
  • Preference for candidates with technology acumen, who are experienced in working with development teams to set new requirements, or testing new integrations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CargoWise's CCP, PMP/Prince2, Six Sigma, or similar are highly valued.

What's in it for you

If you would like to become a valued member of our team, we will make sure that you’re rewarded for your commitment and expertise. You can join the contributory Kuehne+Nagel pension plan and enjoy our Route 2 Rewards scheme, which offers everything from discounts, benefit information, recognition and its own wellbeing centre.
