The General Ledger Accountant ensures accurate financial records by managing the general ledger, overseeing month-end close, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes providing support to the UK, Nordics (Norway, Sweden), with a primary focus on the UK.

As a General Ledger Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, playing a vital role in a dynamic and international environment. You'll gain exposure to managing complex financial processes across the UK and Nordic regions. This position can be located in our Lincoln office in the UK, or in our Leusden office in the Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly closing process, including journal entries and corrections.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, tax returns, and required declarations.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and analyze financial data.
• Support audits and coordinate with external accountants and tax authorities.
• Provide guidance to finance teams and act as a liaison for subsidiaries, with a primary focus on the UK.
• Improve financial processes by optimizing systems and procedures.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Finance or related field of study.
• Experience: 3+ years in a similar role or within an accountancy firm.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel is required. Experience in NetSuite and Salesforce is beneficial but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills in English.
