A unique opportunity has opened up for a Full Time 'Out of School Club' Manager to take on the day-to-day operation and logistical management of a KOOSA Kids After School Club, Breakfast Club & Holiday Club in Ashford, Surrey (TW15). KOOSA Kids are the leading provider of fun & affordable before school, after school and holiday childcare in Berkshire, Hampshire, Richmond & Surrey and are passionate about delivering high quality, fun childcare.

KOOSA Kids Out of School Club Manager position in Bracknell is a full time position, managing a Breakfast and After School Club when schools are open (Term Time) and managing a Holiday Club during the school holidays, all at our club at Birch Hill Primary School in Bracknell, Berkshire (RG12).

The role

  • Fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operational Team at Head Office, you will have overall responsibility for managing all aspects of an allocated KOOSA Kids out of school club (before school, after school and school holiday club) at Birch Hill Primary School in Bracknell, Berkshire (RG12).
  • During term time you will be directly managing a breakfast & after school club (7.30am to 8.50am and 3.00 to 6.00pm) and during the school holidays you will be managing a holiday club (shifts between 8.00am - 6.00pm).
  • Outside of term time club opening times and guided by your Regional Manager and the wider Head Office Operations Team, you will support your clubs with planning activities, resourcing and marketing and recruitment responsibilities, either from home or from our Head Office in Camberley.
  • During club operating times, you will directly supervise all team members within your allocated club and ensure all activities are delivered to KOOSA Kids standards at all times.
  • You will become "the face" of KOOSA Kids within your school community by building strong relationships with the school, local businesses and other community contacts.
  • You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore, grow, inspire and have FUN!

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and on-site delivery of an after school club, breakfast club & holiday club within a specified school or location
  • Supported by your Regional Manager, you will plan, prepare and deliver all activities at your after school & breakfast club
  • Follow and deliver a pre-prepared holiday club program during the school holidays
  • Directly manage all staff within your allocated clubs
  • Ensure all clubs run each day in line with KOOSA Kids and Ofsted policies & procedures
  • Work alongside your Regional Manager to support the recruitment process for part-time & casual staff to work across your allocated clubs; attending interviews and recruitment events where necessary
  • Monitor and update pre-agreed training audits throughout the year
  • Undertake equipment inventories throughout the year (as directed by the Equipment & Program Coordinator) to ensure your clubs always benefit from a sufficient supply of equipment and resources
  • Assist with the Marketing and promotion of your clubs, by directly attending school / local fetes and events, distributing flyers to local schools, attending school parent's evenings etc
  • Attend meetings at KOOSA Kids head office in Camberley with your Regional Manager and to collect equipment / supplies as and when needed

Skills & Experience

  • You ideally have min 2 years managerial / supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting
  • A level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential
  • Full driving license with access to your own vehicle essential
  • Be inspirational, bringing fun and creativeness to the team
  • Be able to relate and engage with children aged between 4 - 13 years
  • Be a people person with strong communication skills
  • Be able to motivate others to deliver to the highest standard
  • Have the ability to be cleared for an enhanced DBS check
  • Would suit somebody with experience of working in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery, e.g. a Teaching Assistant or (former) Teacher, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant Manager

  • Full-Time, average 40 hours per week
