Sustainable Travel Technologies

Sustainable Travel Technologies is tackling some of the biggest challenges in tourism—greenwashing, the difficulty of planning flight-free holidays, and the lack of transparency in genuinely eco-friendly accommodation. As demand for low-carbon travel grows, the company provides the tools needed for businesses to prove their sustainability credentials and meet new consumer regulations. By ensuring transparency and trust, it helps clients capture market share, strengthen customer loyalty, and lead the transition toward more sustainable tourism.


At the heart of its work is Ecolodgical, a flagship carbon labelling software that empowers hospitality businesses to measure, verify, and showcase their climate impact. This data-driven approach not only builds consumer confidence but also ensures businesses can demonstrate compliance with evolving standards. By combining tech innovation with purpose-driven impact, Sustainable Travel Technologies is reshaping how the tourism industry approaches climate accountability and paving the way for a more sustainable future in travel.


Role (Volunteer): Founder's Associate.


Role Description: Tourism accounts for 8-11% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Sustainable Travel Technologies supports leaders of the sustainable tourism transition with novel software to transparently share climate credentials and low-carbon travel options with travellers. We help our clients capture their share of the fast growing sustainable tourism market, building green trust with their customers to secure loyalty and customer retention. We ensure regulatory compliance with new consumer regulations on greenwashing, delivering the data to back up sustainability claims and developing systems to automatically verify client data.


The volunteer Founder Associate will join the team to help focus the attention of the founders on BD, strategy and product development. We are looking for someone highly organised who can manage our jira and trello boards, consolidate work flows and keep everyone on track. Wider support with business admin, business dev and strategy will be a bonus.


Responsibilities:

  • Project management support for web development
  • Management and organisation of general work requirements for the co-founders in trello - prioritisation exercises and accountability
  • Business administration support such as meeting support - tracking actions and follow-up
  • Support with consolidating and organising business processes and tracking outreach


Social and environmental performance:

  • Business administration support to carbon labelling startup in the tourism industry
  • B Corp certified business aligning processes and practices to new B Corp requirements
  • Open to ideas and exploring new opportunities for monitoring impact etc.


Time Commitment: Volunteer 7-9 hours per week for 3-5 months remotely.
