First Line Manager

Shift patterns: Mon- Wednesday nights 19.30 -7.00am , Thursday 19.30-03.00am

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Managing a safe operation and role model a Safety-First Culture with all individuals in the operation by applying and improving the Safety Standards
• Implement Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily way to confirm behaviors and processes
• Conduct incident investigations within the workplace and ensure relevant safety regulations and procedures are adhered to
• Understand Health and Safety related risks in your area, take actions to eliminate or minimize these risks according to an agreed plan
• Ensure that Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) of operational processes are up to date, available at relevant place for employees and that employees are working according to the standard established
• Act as the secondary point of contact for the customer relating to site operation matters and build a good relationship to develop trust and ensure strong engagement.
• Conduct regular reviews with shift manager on operational performance and delivery against agreed KPI's
• Management of the daily operation to ensure we meet our commitments to both customer & our own internal processes.
  
  
  

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Minimum 12 months warehouse operations experience
• Experience in team management
• Sustainability & Health and Safety Awareness
• Excellent communicator - verbal and written
• Can do, passion and right first-time attitude
  
  
  

Successful candidates must undergo a basic Access NI check, a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
