Description

Finance Assistant

To record receipt of funds and make payments to contractors within SLA. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and queries.

What will your day look like:

  • Record receipt of funds and allocate to claims
  • Make payments to contractors within SLA, escalate issues as required
  • Create and send remittances to contractors
  • Pay Davies fees within SLA
  • Credit control and aged debt
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Produce invoices for clients and issue
  • Make CIS tax, retentions and ex-gratia payments within SLA
  • Answer and resolve internal and external queries
  • Liaise with staff from across the Davies Group, external clients and contractors

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines to ensure excellent customer service
  • Ability to see issues through from start to completion
  • AR / AP experience is desirable
  • A basic understanding of claims insurance is desirable.
