We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the EU Marketplace team. Amazon EU Marketplace business, in particular the Low ASP segment, is a dynamic, fast-growing business and a key strategic focus area for the company. We need bright, talented people to help us fulfil our vision of making Amazon the preferred shopping destination for both customers and brands.
The key goal for this role is to help deliver robust, structured reporting and processes. The growth of the business and the increasing complexity make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. Expect to get involved in supporting new projects and initiatives, driving performance, and help building plans for the future. The role is very broad based and will require an individual who has an eye for details and is good at communicating across functional teams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver with the opportunity to fulfil the Amazon motto to “Work Hard. Have Fun. Make History."
This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Key job responsibilities
- Build financial models to drive business decisions and make judgement calls on challenges using your understanding of Amazon’s Fashion cost/profit structure.
- Generate insights from financial data, identify growth and cost saving opportunities, and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions.
- Own the financial and operational plan and financial reporting, create scalable processes and monitor teams for accuracy.
- Manage ad hoc requests, financial deep dives and analyses to support senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Create, improve, scale, or simplify finance processes/tools across teams and organizations.
- Represent Softlines in cross PF finance forums and collaborate with partner teams to design processes and tools that are fit for Softlines.
- Onboard, develop and mentor team members in areas of financial reporting for accuracy, create best practice materials and promote knowledge sharing.
- Partner with Softlines Retail leadership team on ad hoc projects with high visibility.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
