Job Summary
The Finance Administrator will support the Finance team with day-to-day transactional and administrative tasks. Working as part of a close knit and supportive team, this role is ideal for an enthusiastic and numerate individual who is eager to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic SaaS business. You will be supported and mentored by the Management Accountant and the wider Finance team. There will also be opportunities for training and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately input and process purchase invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals.
- Expense Management: Review and process staff expenses in line with company policy.
- Bookkeeping Support: Assist with the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Supplier Management: Support the Finance team in maintaining up-to-date supplier records and resolving queries.
- Month-End Support: Assist with the collation of information and basic reconciliations as part of the month-end close.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Provide general support to the Management Accountant and wider Finance team as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- GCSE Grade A-C (5-9) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a finance role.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
- Good attention to detail with a methodical approach to tasks
- Competent in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace applications (particularly Excel/Google Sheets)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while independently managing tasks and priorities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Nice to have
- Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Experience of working within a finance team.
