Premises Assistant

• Location: Hastings
• Salary: £24,027 per year pro rata (actual salary is £13,348)
• Contract: Permanent
• Working pattern: Part-Time - 2.15pm to 6.15pm Monday to Friday. These hours may vary during school holidays and when required.
• Closing: Wednesday 4th June

We are looking for an experienced Premises Assistant to support our site team and deputise for the existing, experienced Site Manager. You will support the management and operations of premises-related functions at the academy including buildings and grounds maintenance, security, cleaning, health and safety, lettings of our facilities and contractors.

The role will involve providing support to the Senior Leadership Team, staff, governors, pupils and parents. We can offer you a friendly, supportive school and opportunities for professional development.

The successful candidate will:

• Be confident, resilient, pro active and have previous building maintenance experience.
• Have an understanding of and ability to apply relevant health & safety regulations.
• Be a team player who can work collaboratively as well as using own initiative.
• Have a professional, proactive outlook and be able to multitask.
• Have the ability to use a computer, including emails and spreadsheets.
• Have the physical ability to meet the demands of the role.

Ark Blacklands Primary Academy is a popular and over-subscribed school in the heart of Hastings. It was graded as 'Outstanding' in 2023 in all areas by Ofsted and has a proven track record of raising standards for its pupils, particularly our most vulnerable.
