The Export Coordinator is required to deliver the highest quality of service in our industry by ensuring all shipments are managed in the most efficient, safest, and cost-effective way. Process daily export logistics tasks in compliance with all relevant transportation and HMRC regulations. Ensure all shipments processed are of a high standard and compliant with Biocair’s internal SOPs and policies.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Secure bookings with airlines, integrators and/or transport suppliers in accordance with the information shown in the Transport Management System (iCair)
  • Ensure all documentation required at destination are included with the shipment
  • Cross-check and review of Dangerous Goods declaration
  • Contact supplier to confirm departure from your designated port; ensure this is done in a timely manner and system is updated accordingly
  • Ensure shipment is acceptable for carriage by the supplier by checking labelling, documentation and overall packaging suitability; reduce potential rejections by the supplier
  • Consider consolidating shipments where applicable and reasonable to do so
  • Monitor shipping lanes/suppliers for poor performance and inform managers and logistics

  • Experience working within the airfreight environment
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Team player with the ability to work on their own without supervision
  • Highly self-organised, able to plan and prioritise workload and manage changing priorities to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrates consistently high attention to detail
  • Agile and resilient; can adapt quickly to different situations and shows initiative
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical logistics sector or life science industry is desirable but not essential

Please note this is a full time role, Monday to Friday initially starting 08:30 - 17:30 and then onto a rotating shift pattern operating between the hours of 07:00 to 19:00 based out of office in London Heathrow.

This is a UK based role and the right to live and work in the UK will need to be established during the recruitment process. Please note we are not currently a Home Office visa sponsorship licence holder.
