The role
The Events Manager is responsible for the delivery of successful client, intermediary and some internal events across the firm. They managing the events process from start to finish to ensure the delivery of memorable events that promote the Saffery brand, aid client retention and help drive business objectives.
The responsibilities
We are a friendly, busy team, based across London, Bristol, Manchester and Bournemouth offices. We support fee earner colleagues across our UK office network and overseas, providing outstanding service to our internal clients. We offer support and advice on a wide range of activities relating to external marketing communications, internal communications and business development activities, and we support nine varied National Practice Groups via which the firm goes to market, from Private Wealth to Sports & Entertainment.

The Events Manager is responsible for the delivery of successful client, intermediary and some internal events across the firm. They managing the events process from start to finish to ensure the delivery of memorable events that promote the Saffery brand, aid client retention and help drive business objectives.
The responsibilities
- Strategic planning: Plan and deliver a variety of external events that support the firm’s business development objectives. Being directly involved in events in, or organised from, the London office, and providing support and advice on best practice to those events held in other offices.
- Event management: Manage all aspects of the events including (but not limited to) budget setting and monitoring, theming, venue and ancillary services research and liaison, the invitation and response management process, on-the-day event management and post event administration and close-down.
- Stakeholder management: Collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders relevant to each event to ensure the successful delivery of that event.
- Manage communications: manage the promotion of events both internally and externally as well as managing the production and delivery of the different types of communication required for each event.
- Managing people: manage and mentor an Events Assistant. The role also includes working close with teams across the firm’s office network in the delivery of events outside of London.
- Staying up-to-date with latest event trends, training, venues and event technology.

You
- An organised individual with a keen interest in events
- At least three years’ experience of organising events in a professional services firm (Accountancy or Law)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Can adapt to changing circumstances/requirements
- A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to quality
- Willingness and ability to work anti-social hours (early mornings/late evenings)
- UK driving licence
- A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)
- Excellent benefits including; contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, Life Assurance cover and great flexible benefits and family friendly policies,
- Eligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan. Paid in December.
- Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme.
