Overview of Role
Our Events Coordinator will provide energy, creativity and skills needed by the Communications & Marketing team at The AF Group. You will be doing invaluable work to help rural businesses and farmers who have the most important job in the world, producing food and looking after nature.
The role is to plan, organise and deliver our AF presence at a wide range of different types of events, from stands at large national events, to farm walks on AF Members farms and open days at AF HQ. After each event you will also be responsible for managing the processing and follow-up of leads and opportunities to ensure they are dealt with promptly as well as analysing the return on investment for each event.
Why? To help attract the target number of new applications to join AF, increase spend by our current Members across the categories of rural business inputs we procure and grow the Affinity Fuels customer base for domestic heating oil.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues across AF to identify events to attend.
- Work with colleagues to plan, design and procure all stands / events.
- Track spend for each event to ensure it is delivered within budget.
- Set up all stands / events (working with colleagues as necessary) to present a professional, welcoming presence.
- Liaise with colleagues to develop a plan to ensure events are advertised to relevant audiences at the right time, and pre-event information is shared with attendees in a timely manner.
- Manage bookings, both setting up forms, web pages and managing communications pipeline.
- Collect, manage and distribute leads collected to internal teams utilising CRM system.
- Assist and contribute to relevant marketing and communications campaigns.

Experience
- Have led planning, organising & delivering events
- Understanding of and experience working in agriculture and/or rural business - desirable
Knowledge
- Understanding of key stages of event planning, organising, budgeting and delivering

Qualifications
- GCSE minimum grade C / 4-9 or equivalent for English & Maths - desirable
- Event planning qualifications - desirable
Benefits
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
