European Operations Supervisor

Pay Rate: £43,000 to £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm (To be discussed at interview)

Location: Birmingham - B92 9EP

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a European Operations Supervisor to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• The European Operations Supervisor will manage a small team of transportation specialists focused on international freight routes within an automotive contract part of an inbound manufacturing network.
• Responsibilities include leading, training and developing the team, managing collections and deliveries across the network, ensuring cost mitigation, carrier management, support customer requests, guarantee process adherence, driving continuous improvement and efficiencies as well as support the broader DHL business projects and implementations
• Maintain relationships to implement and establish high, reliable on time collection and on time delivery performance
• Identification and support the implementation of savings, cost reductions & efficiency opportunities within the transport network
• Maintain relationships to implement and establish high, reliable on time collection and on time delivery performance
• Timely, accurate notification to customer of operational service options. Confirmation of agreements on service and cost or status updates
  
  
  

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Strong Operational Background in Supply chain is ESSENTIAL
• Previous management experience is ESSENTIAL
• Able to work and communicate with various stakeholders
• IT Literate, with Microsoft office packages
