The Opportunity

You will be the Engineer onsite at Abbey Bakery, supporting the production facilities by ensuring machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely, enabling the achievement of production targets.

• Assist all departments to ensure smooth factory operations.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet daily operational targets and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, part usage, and shift handovers.
• Manage contractors on site and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background; multi-skilled preferred.
• Formal engineering qualification: Minimum City & Guilds Part 2 or NVQ Level 3.

• Committed to hygiene and safety standards in a food production environment.
