As a Level 3 Qualified Early Years Assistant, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering outstanding care and education to children at Busy Bees. Your expertise will play a key role in supporting the development of our Bee Curious curriculum, while guiding and mentoring unqualified team members. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early years education and are looking to take on greater responsibility in a thriving and supportive setting.

About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Leicester Meridian Park, rated "Good" by Ofsted and with a capacity of 130 children, provides a loving, stimulating, and engaging environment for children to thrive academically and emotionally. Our nursery features a spacious outdoor area with a large garden divided into dedicated spaces for each age group, allowing seamless free flow for children to explore, play, and learn in the great outdoors. Conveniently located in Meridian Leisure and Business Park, just off the A563 and a short 5-minute drive from the M1 at Junction 21 and the M69 at Junction 3, we are also an 8-minute walk from the nearest bus stop on Owen Close, which serves multiple routes. The nursery offers free parking for staff and boasts a dedicated team, many of whom have over 15 years of experience, including our passionate Centre Director. Additionally, our Foundation Class benefits from a weekly football and physical activity program, enhancing their outdoor experiences with fun and fitness.

What To Expect As a Relief Early Years Educator

  • Assist in planning and delivering educational activities that promote children's development.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, fostering strong partnerships with children and their families.
  • Track and report on children's progress through observations and assessments.

Ideal Candidate

  • Level 3 qualification in early years education.
  • Experience working with children under 5.
  • Empathy and understanding - each child is unique.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

You may have previous experience working with children, ideally as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Assistant or Nursery Nurse.
