As part of our growth phase, we are seeking an Electronics Repair Technician with a passion for electronics to join our growing testing team at Racelogic. The role will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and advising our third-party suppliers on repair requirements of our cutting-edge product range.
Your Responsibilities:
- Test, diagnose, and repair Racelogic's diverse range of products, ensuring adherence to our high-quality standards.
- Implement and maintain an evolving knowledge base of problems, fixes, and workarounds.
- Proactively feedback information on design issues and trends in manufacturing faults.
- Administer Racelogic’s production quarantine process, liaising with production operatives to ensure timely transitions between fault finding and resumption of build schedules.
- Work in conjunction with production test engineers to test, debug, and resolve issues.
- Liaise with third-party PCB assembly suppliers to improve and inform the in-house debug process.
Person Specification:
- Demonstrable recent experience working within an electronics manufacturing and/or product servicing environment.
- A thorough understanding of electronics principles and circuit design.
- Proven ability to perform both surface mount and through-hole soldering to a high standard.
- Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to diagnose issues down to the component and signal level.
- Hands-on experience using a variety of electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow documented assembly and test procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
- A keen interest in technology, particularly within the automotive industry.
- A positive attitude and strong collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience of implementing structured recording of data through software or scripting tool chains.
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Buckingham MK18.
Desired Additional Skills:
- Exposure to GNSS (GPS) and automotive-based technologies.
- Understanding of various testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Exposure or understanding of programming/scripting languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.
- Full clean UK driving license.
