What you’ll do:
We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced Approved Electrician to join our expanding team. You’ll be responsible for installing and maintaining EV charge points and handling AC electrical works associated with Solar PV systems. Projects span a wide range of sites across the South East, offering a varied and rewarding work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, and commission EV charge points (domestic and commercial).
Carry out AC electrical work for solar PV systems (inverter connections, mains distribution, integration).
Conduct periodic inspection, testing, and certification (EICs, EICRs, Minor Works).
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems.
Ensure all work meets current BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
Coordinate with customers, project managers, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
Complete job reports and certification accurately using digital tools.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing qualification.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician level).
Experience in both domestic and commercial electrical installations.
Hands-on experience with EV charger installations (e.g. Alfen, Autel, Alpitronic).
Strong knowledge of AC-side Solar PV works.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
City & Guilds 2919-01 (EV Charging Equipment Installation).
Experience with battery storage systems.
Familiarity with MCS requirements and solar PV accreditation.
Knowledge of smart energy systems and load management technologies.
