Tasks
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Responsible Individual, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our homes, ensuring they are places where children can flourish. Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversight of Operations: Ensuring all homes operate smoothly, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Driving Excellence: Our Responsible Individuals support managers to achieve and maintain ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
- Compliance & Safeguarding: Making sure all practices align with legislation, safeguarding policies, and company standards.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Guiding and supporting managers and staff to deliver the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborating with senior management to set goals and continuously improve service delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re after a Responsible Individual who has:
- Experience: A proven track record in leadership roles within children’s residential care.
- Knowledge: An in-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- Qualifications: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: The ability to inspire, mentor, and build high-performing teams.
- Commitment: We are looking for a Responsible Individual who can provide dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Kent to support multiple homes.
