Position Summary
The Director, Regional Security Manager – EMEA is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of physical security, travel risk management, and event security across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This senior-level role serves as the regional security lead and trusted advisor to company leadership, ensuring the protection of personnel, assets, and operations. A critical focus of this position is the management of the Travel Security Program and oversight of event security planning and execution, including support for high-profile and sensitive engagements.

Position Summary
The Director, Regional Security Manager – EMEA is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of physical security, travel risk management, and event security across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This senior-level role serves as the regional security lead and trusted advisor to company leadership, ensuring the protection of personnel, assets, and operations. A critical focus of this position is the management of the Travel Security Program and oversight of event security planning and execution, including support for high-profile and sensitive engagements.
Regional Security Leadership
- Lead the strategic direction and operational oversight of corporate security programs throughout EMEA.
- Manage site security operations, guard force performance, risk mitigation programs, and security technology infrastructure.
- Serve as trusted advisor to regional executives and stakeholders on matters of security, risk, and business continuity.
- Manage and develop vendor relationships with contracted security providers and technology partners.
- Coordinate the global implementation of the global travel security program, including traveler risk assessments, destination briefings, and real-time threat monitoring.
- Collaborate with the Security Command Center (SCC), travel, HR, and executive /close protection teams to monitor and support employee and executive travel.
- Maintain and update pre-travel briefing materials, country risk ratings, and security advisories.
- Coordinate incident response and travel accountability during major events, political unrest, and health emergencies in the region.
- Lead security planning for corporate events, executive offsites, and investor engagements across EMEA.
- Conduct event risk assessments and develop comprehensive security plans covering venue access, credentialing, staffing, emergency response, and executive protection coordination.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders (events, facilities, comms, multimedia, and executive support) and local authorities as needed.
- Function as the onsite security lead or key point of contact during major regional events.
- Monitor geopolitical, civil, and operational risks affecting company operations and personnel in the region.
- Collaborate with global intelligence and threat assessment teams to provide timely updates and situational awareness.
- Participate in crisis management and emergency response planning and serve as the Region’s Security representative on the crisis management team.
- Ensure regional compliance with global security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct regional audits, threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments.
- Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership regarding security posture, incident trends, and program effectiveness.
- Deliver updates and key risk metrics to global security leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, International Relations, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, risk management, or law enforcement, with %+ years in a leadership role within the EMEA region.
- Experienced in the use of security technology such as access control, video surveillance, physical identity access management and visitor management systems.
- Strong understanding of international travel risk management and geopolitical risk.
- Experience in crisis management and business continuity in complex environments.
- Ability to build and manage vendor relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous priorities.
- Manage deliverables independently and with a high degree of efficiency.
- Fluent in English; additional EMEA languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel regionally and globally as required.
- Strong conflict management and people skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work/cover on-call responsibilities as well as willingness to react to emergencies on a 24/7 basis.
- This position requires a customer service mindset, mission accomplishment attitude, and executive level briefing experience.
- Perform other duties as required by corporate security leadership.
- Physical security industry certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) are highly desirable.
- Prior experience in multinational corporate environments.
- Familiarity with travel risk platforms, GSOC operations, and digital risk tools.
- Exceptional communication, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
