ArtClusiv

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Birmingham
Contract type: Full time
Remote
Join ArtClusiv as a volunteer Digital Marketing Manager and help amplify BIPOC creatives. Lead digital campaigns, grow our online reach, and use your marketing skills to drive equity, creativity, and community in the arts.

What difference will you make?

ArtClusiv exists to amplify, empower, and connect BIPOC creatives across disciplines including musicians, designers, visual artists, performers, and storytellers by creating spaces where culture, creativity, and community intersect. As a young non-profit, our mission depends on visibility, storytelling, and community engagement. The Digital Marketing Manager role is at the heart of making that mission visible to the world.

By leading our digital presence, the volunteer will help translate ArtClusiv’s purpose into action, turning creative equity from an idea into a growing movement. Digital marketing is the bridge between our behind-the-scenes efforts and the wider community we aim to reach. With an effective digital strategy, we can connect underrepresented creatives with real opportunities, inspire public awareness about systemic barriers in the arts, and attract partners who share our vision of inclusion.

What are we looking for?

We’re seeking a creative, mission-driven volunteer who’s passionate about equity, culture, and digital storytelling. Our ideal Digital Marketing Manager will have

  • At least 3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or communications (paid or volunteer).
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a small team, guiding volunteers or collaborators to deliver campaigns effectively.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute digital campaigns that drive engagement and brand growth.
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Excellent copywriting and content creation skills with a good eye for visual design and storytelling.
  • Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Google Analytics, or similar) to track performance and optimise campaigns.
  • Confidence in brand development — maintaining a consistent voice and message that aligns with organisational values.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and contribute creative ideas to a small, passionate team.
  • Empathy, cultural awareness, and a genuine commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social impact.
  • Bonus familiarity with email marketing, SEO, or Canva/Adobe tools would be a plus.

We value initiative and purpose over perfection — if you’re someone who brings creativity, care, and strategic thinking to your work, you’ll thrive at ArtClusiv.

What will you be doing?

ArtClusiv is looking for a dedicated Digital Marketing Manager to lead our digital presence and help us tell powerful stories that celebrate and empower Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) creatives across art, music, design, performance, and culture. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about social justice, representation in the arts, and using digital media to create meaningful impact.

As our Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how ArtClusiv connects with the world. Working with the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing digital campaigns that promote our initiatives — from creative workshops and artist spotlights to partnerships and community events. Your work will help elevate BIPOC voices, drive engagement across platforms, and grow ArtClusiv’s visibility as a trusted, inclusive creative hub.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Social Media Strategy & Management Plan and manage content across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. You’ll create a consistent posting schedule, develop creative campaigns, and ensure our messaging aligns with ArtClusiv’s mission of equity and empowerment.
  • Content Creation Work with our founder and volunteers to produce engaging posts, stories, short videos, and newsletters that showcase the work and experiences of BIPOC creatives.
  • Brand Development Help refine our visual and written tone of voice to ensure all digital communications reflect the authenticity, warmth, and creativity of the ArtClusiv community.
  • Analytics & Growth Use basic analytics tools to track engagement and audience growth, identifying what resonates most with our community and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborations & Campaigns Support in coordinating digital collaborations with partners, cultural organisations, and featured artists to amplify our shared message of inclusion and innovation.

You’ll be joining a small but passionate team that values creativity, collaboration, and learning by doing. ArtClusiv is a new social enterprise, so this role offers the unique opportunity to help shape our digital identity from the ground up. You’ll have autonomy to experiment with ideas, lead on strategy, and make a visible difference in how our mission reaches people.
