We’re looking for a Designer to join the Represent team and play a key role in our DNA category, working on legacy pieces built to last. You’ll need a strong creative vision and a sharp commercial eye to help shape product that defines who we are. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving team, so if you’re passionate about design and thrive in a high-energy environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Main Accountabilities

  • To manage the execution of styles from concept to launch ensuring all timescales are adhered to.
  • To conceptualise the vision of Represent’s Creative Director and Head of DNA.
  • Bring to market, world class, “on brand” creative product, built and engineered to Represent’s design aesthetics & attention to detail.
  • Always be forward thinking. Challenge the “norm”. Represent to lead & others follow.
  • Visit key style capitals for any fabric trade fairs & branded stores. To be aware of brand adjacencies and design direction.
  • To research key trends and looks for the upcoming season, using WGSN, Vogue runway, comp. shopping and vintage stores in key style capitals.
  • Gain commercial awareness & market knowledge.
  • Prepare comprehensive mood boards & concepts for each category.
  • Attend, present & contribute, with confidence at design direction meeting, bringing newness and creative ideas to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with graphic designer.
  • To nominate fabrics and accessories. To prioritize sustainable fabrics, trims and packaging, where possible.
  • Provide creative & technical design skills to ensure that all garments are fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with Head of DNA and Senior Designer on new fabric, trim and logo developments.
  • Set up styles on PLM system & assign product codes.
  • Maintain & update the PLM.
  • Ensure that all tech-packs are of the highest standard and can be accurately translated by the factory into the best quality 1st Proto’s in conjunction with the product developer.
  • Visit factories at Techpack handover to ensure that 1st proto is the best it can be.
  • To stick to the critical path with the product team, to execute a well-balanced and commercial range plan. Ensure all timelines are met.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day design tasks, to deliver the goals and objectives as set by the Head of DNA – in line with the company vision.
  • Independently plan and organise allocated workload.
  • Attend fit sessions and proto reviews. Assist Head of DNA in leading this meeting.
  • Identify styles that may require wear testing with Garment Tech team.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, time management & prioritizing skills
  • Highly creative in menswear design.
  • Sound understanding of high quality & sustainable fabrics & trims.
  • Knowledge of pattern making or garment construction an advantage, but not essential
  • Demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem solving
  • Flexible and open to evolving business needs and priorities
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands on when required. Be prepared to assist at all levels
  • Experience in designing to target prices.
  • Happy to travel (overseas) when required.
  • Comfortable with change.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint & Word

You have

  • 2-3 years Design experience.
  • A passion for menswear design and the branded market.
  • A relevant degree.
  • Travelled to factories and key style capitals.

You might have

  • Knowledge and passion for sustainability.
  • PLM experience.
  • Garment construction knowledge
