About The Role…

As our business evolves, we are looking to strengthen our workforce with talented and motivated individuals across a range of disciplines to work from our Northwest Engineering Centre of Excellence and currently have this opportunity available:

The core purpose of this job function is to be responsible for the delivery of engineering projects on time and on cost. Ensuring technical performance standards are maintained and to deliver mechanical system designs that meet customer specifications and regulatory needs, assisting with continuous improvement of the design engineering capability.

Key Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Develop design solutions working in conjunction with designers within the team.
  • Checking drawings.
  • Prepare technical documents such as specifications, reports, manuals, procedures etc.
  • Undertake hardware development and testing.
  • Compile technical documents and test specifications.
  • Interpret technical specifications.
  • Liaise with suppliers and act as a KNDS UK representative at customer review meetings.
  • Provide support for the production, test, and field engineering teams.
  • Support the sales team with bids and quotations.

What We’re Looking For…

We need you to be qualified to a degree level in a relevant engineering subject, with proven experience in design, testing, and development of mechanical systems with medium and heavy engineering with an understanding of the behaviour of large welded and bolted mechanical structures and to have proven experience in the design of systems from original concept design, through to production in a lead role.
