Deputy Healthcare Operations Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking and flexible individual, with previous management experience, to lead an operational arm of the Health Care Operations Directorate as directed and to act as nominated Deputy for the Health Care Operations Manager (HCOM) as required or in their absence.
It is essential that the post holder is flexible and able to cross cover sites as necessary.
Applicants should possess a management qualification or equivalent or working towards this and have demonstrable experience of working in an NHS environment, including evidence of working at a management level.
Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and provide evidence to support their planning and organisational skills in their current role. Ideally, you will have specialist knowledge across a range of operational work practices and an understanding of the NHS political agenda.
Knowledge of NHS computer systems is an essential requirement of the post together with an understanding of Trust policies and procedures.
Shortlisted candidates will be expected to deliver a short presentation at interview as part of the selection process.
The post holder will take an active role in the day-to-day operational delivery of the directorate services. They also will be expected to take an active role in the Trust’s corporate objectives leading on some Trust wide initiatives / developments.
The post holder will assist the HCOM with the effective delivery of elective access waiting time targets and booking systems corporately within the Trust, in line with current NHS directives and legislation. They will also assist the HCOM in the implementation of the highly complex change management programme to facilitate the Trust’s transition to digital patient communications and consultations.
