G4S facilities Management are seeking a Deputy Director of Services to provide senior operational leadership and support for a major Facilities Management contract in Cheltenham. If you have a proven track record of managing large-scale operations and are skilled in financial management and people leadership, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.
Experience: You should have significant operational management experience in a similar-sized role, with a background in both hard and soft services. Experience delivering complex services within PFI contracts is highly desirable.
Skills: We need someone who is commercially astute and possesses strong communication, team-building, and influencing skills. You must be results-oriented with the ability to make tough decisions and consistently raise the bar.
Qualifications: While not required, an appropriate FM qualification and a NEBOSH General Certificate are desirable. You must be able to obtain Developed Vetting clearance.
Key Responsibilities
As the Deputy Director of Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our contract. Your main responsibilities will include:

As the Deputy Director of Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our contract. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Financial Management: Oversee a £30M budget and work to achieve revenue, profit (EBITDA), and cash targets. You'll be responsible for effective financial management and billing arrangements to meet all internal and statutory obligations.
- Operational Delivery: Work with the Contract Management Team to execute business strategies and service improvement plans. You will ensure we deliver high-quality services that enhance our brand and promote long-term partnerships with clients.
- People Leadership: Guide and support your team to ensure they are engaged and aligned with our company values. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, integrity, and safety.
- Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to support and enhance the delivery of FM services.
- Health and Safety: Promote a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulations and continuously seeking ways to improve
- Significant operational management experience in a similar-sized role, covering both hard and soft services.
- Proven experience delivering complex services within PFI contracts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and build confidence with customers.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, team-building, and stakeholder management abilities.
