Job Summary:
Become a key player in our team as a Senior UX Specialist and help us drive forward our ambitious goals. This role focuses on understanding audience needs and translating those insights into optimised user interactions on the website. You will be responsible for leading efforts to ensure information can be accessed with minimal friction.
The responsibilities extend beyond navigation, encompassing how users interact with content, complete tasks and engage with digital touchpoints throughout their online experience. The role involves identifying challenges faced by users and converting these findings into clear and efficient user journeys. By streamlining site architecture, you’ll help deliver a cohesive and high-performing website that reflects our brand and delivers a seamless customer-centric website that supports our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
User Research and Insights
- Conduct user research to understand audience needs, behaviours and pain points
- Analyse user feedback and behavioural data to inform UX improvements
- Translate insights into clear, goal-oriented user journeys that support the business strategy
- Lead usability testing focused on validating design decisions, navigation clarity and task completion
- Support A/B testing and iterative design based on performance data
Testing and Prototyping
- Use tools like Figma to replicate user journeys and gather feedback before development
- Collaborate with development agencies to ensure prototypes are feasible and accurately implemented
Performance and Accessibility
- Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design principles
- Identify and reduce friction points in key conversion paths (e.g. product pages, contact forms)
Navigation and Information Architecture
- Create wireframes and prototypes to explore and validate design concepts in collaboration with the creative team
- Ensure campaign content aligns with insights from user research and competitor benchmarking to guide page layout
Strategy and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with the rest of the Strategic Marketing team to align the website with the brand strategy and campaign objectives
- Work with external agencies to implement UX enhancements and resolve identified issues
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system and pattern libraries
- Document UX findings and recommendations for continuous improvement
Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in UX design for websites, ideally within B2B or technical sectors
- Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma)
- Experience with UX testing methodologies and analytics tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills which allow you to engage proactively and successfully with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to advocate for user needs within technical and business constraints
- Familiarity with SEO, CRM integrations and digital marketing workflows
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 and its application to web design
