This role offers the opportunity to work in a challenging, rewarding and personal development focussed environment within QRS Services in Cardiff, utilising your analytical skills to ensure the firms compliance with underlying regulations and enabling client-facing teams to devote more of their time to providing services to their clients. Specific responsibilities can include:
You’ll have all the support you need to succeed, including robust tech and home workstation set-up guidance, as well as access to a variety of flexible working spaces and all sorts of social activities for you to join. How will I develop?
Due to the nature of the regulatory environment, we work in, QRS is a fast paced and ever evolving department. As described above, you will be exposed to and learn a wide range of disciplines, gaining valuable experience and developing analytical and judgement-based skills. Over time, there is the ability to specialise in a particular area of interest and develop into a true subject matter expert with bespoke training.

- Checking out new clients: Before we work with anyone new, we need to make sure they’re a good fit. You’ll help us decide if they’re the right people to work with.
- Supporting projects from start to finish: You’ll be involved in all sorts of tasks, from research to writing reports and keeping our client information up-to-date. It’s a great way to see how things work in a real business.
- Solving problems: We have to ensure there are no conflicts of interest in our work. You’ll help us find solutions so we can do everything fairly and safely.
Skills

- Excellent research and analysis skills combined with good judgement and effective decision-making capability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with people at all levels across our firm
- An attention to detail to maintain high professional standards with a focus on quality and confidentiality
- An ability to follow processes while thinking outside of those boundaries, making reasoned decisions and communicating them with confidence.
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task. This is a dynamic role and you’ll be working on multiple, often complex, cases at the same time.
- Ability to manage and adapt to regular changes.
- A good level of IT user ability, including database entry, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Training time will be allowed for adaptation to in-house IT tools
- Work experience or study in compliance/regulation or accounting/financial services/risk management would be advantageous.
- Customer service experience and skills
- Qualifications required – Minimum of five GCSEs including at least a level 4 (C) in English Language and Maths.

- Researching and performing analysis, typically using IT based tools
- Working with internal customers, providing technical advice
- Reviewing and refreshing information held on existing clients and maintaining our systems of quality control
- Looking for opportunities to improve our processes.
- Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
- Contributing to project work that supports risk management and regulatory compliance within the UK
