Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. Job Description
There are two post being within the team for Support Solution Officers.
You will provide Support Solution Advice & Guidance to programme and project Delivery Teams (DTs) on all aspects of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and the Support Solutions Envelope. You will work collaboratively with DT staff and subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the product lifecycle.
You will provide Support Assurance Reports to the chain of command to enable senior leader decision making regarding the effectiveness of the support solution, whether the support solution makes sense and represents Value for Money for Defence alongside an examination of the Support Risks posed.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate analysis, understanding and interpretation of the SSE, its application and development in terms of Support Requirements.
Provide advice and guidance to DTs enabling them to conduct self-assurance against the Defence Support policies.
Conduct assurance determining effectiveness, compliance & coherence in Support Solutions, providing assessments, identifying Defence issues and risks.
Facilitate engagement between DTs and Key Support Area SMEs during the equipment life cycle to encourage improvement and good practice.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Governing Policy 2.1, concerning Integrated Logistic Support organisation, planning and arrangements. or, Act as a Subject Matter Expert for CCT 1.1, concerning Integrated Logistic Support organisation, planning and arrangements.
Produce Support Solution Reports providing assurance of support solution effectiveness to inform 3* endorsement bodies in making endorsement decisions.
Produce In-Service Support Reviews providing assurance of support solution effectiveness to inform FLCs.
Undertake line management, mentoring and countersigning tasks as required by the role. This role has 1 direct reports. Manage and mentor designated C2 grade SSOs within the team.
