Purpose of the Role/Role Overview:

The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance and servicing of life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British & European standards, in accordance with BS5839 standards.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day planned and reactive maintenance of contracts around Kent & South East London areas.
  • To respond to emergency callouts and carry out any remedial works as required.
  • Carry out asset verification.
  • Install replacement/additional equipment.
  • Take part in the on-call rota.
  • Conduct site surveys as required.
  • Training of apprentices.
  • To act at all times in a professional and diligent manor, considering the need of the clients.
  • Servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.

Skills and experience:

  • Good understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.
  • FIA units (1,3,5)
  • At least 1 year of industry experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate on all levels.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and schedules.

Working Environment:

This is operational site-based position covering Kent and some of South East London, it involves collaborating closely with the support service team. While also engaging with our clients. Expect a dynamic and fast paced work setting that combines on site work with on-going communication with office-based colleagues. The role necessitates proactive interaction and liaison with clients/customers, to ensure effective communication and first-class customer service.
