Correla are looking for a Data Privacy Officer to join the Commercial Directorate.

Salary: circa £85,000 (advertised salary achievable for a candidate fulfilling all role criteria)

About The Role

  • Ensure Correla’s statutory Data Protection obligation are met, acting as the defacto Data Protection Officer
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in driving understanding and guidance for the business in its adoption of Privacy and Data Governance strategies, policies, processes and technologies
  • Manage and evolve the privacy by design culture within Product Development lifecycle
  • Manage and ensure all Data Subject Access Requests are fulfilled within the obligated timescales
  • Lead and support horizon scanning for new legislation/threats to enable Correla to stay protected.
  • Support contractual development for Clients and Suppliers
  • Provide expert support to the Legal and Procurement teams
  • Lead and support the Privacy and Data Governance team in ensuring BAU processes are followed and robust.
  • Lead and continuously develop the training and awareness programme to build and embed Data Protection understanding and responsibilities.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide solutions, and maintain strong professional relationships.

About You

  • You will have recognised Data Protection certifications of at least IAPP CIPP-E and IAPP CIPM or equivalent
  • You will have expert knowledge of Data Protection laws
  • You will have knowledge and experience in implementing Industry standard Data Governance Frameworks
  • You will have experience of implementing Data Privacy policies and processes e.g. ROPA, Data Classification, DPIA
  • You will have experience and expertise auditing and managing multiple and large Record of Processing Activities and reviews.
  • You will have experience and knowledge of implementing and managing continuous training and awareness programmes across multiple disciplines
