Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join our Repairs team based in our Billericay office. We recognise how important it is to help people get their lives back in order quickly when damages occur. Crawford offers a complete managed repair service, supporting policyholders from the first notification of loss right through every step of the repair and restoration process. Occasional travel may be required for the role.

Responsibilities

As a Repair Advisor, you will be responsible for proactively managing the repair process adding value to the customer journey. Communicating with contractors, policyholders and clients to a high professional standard keeping them informed at key stages.

You will be responsible for preparing reports commenting on detail on all aspects of the claims, including policy and analysis & liability, quantum & future actions. Communicating regularly with all interested parties, calculating & approving interim payments, preparing interim reports & other communication.

You’ll also be liaising with colleagues within different business areas depending upon the nature of the claim, so attention to detail is essential to ensure each step of the claims process is as thorough as possible, collating and recording all necessary statements and information as required

Qualifications

  • Sound technical skills to proactively manage building repairs.
  • Good problem solving skills to identify failure demand and initiate resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to convey technical information in a clear and concise way.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to build rapport and manage customer expectations.
  • Good organisational and time management skills; to co-ordinate and deliver on a variety of actions concurrently, delivering every time to high standards.
  • Strong computer literacy skills to make effective use of a variety of ICT platforms and applications.

Due to the nature of our business, this role is subject to a satisfactory basic DBS check
