Responsibilities

As a Computing Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in all aspects of digital literacy and computing. Your main duties will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Developing engaging and challenging schemes of work in line with the national curriculum.
• Teaching a range of computing topics, including programming, algorithms, data handling, and computer systems.
• Supporting students in developing strong digital skills and understanding how computing applies to the modern world.
• Monitoring and assessing students' progress, providing constructive feedback, and setting learning targets.
• Encouraging a love for technology and developing students' problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and computing clubs.
• Collaborating with other teachers and staff to ensure high standards across the department.
• Maintaining an inclusive classroom environment where every student is supported in their learning.
  
  

Requirements

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Computing Teacher who is eager to make a difference in students' lives. The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching computing at secondary level.
• Have a strong understanding of the computing curriculum, including GCSE Computing.
• Be enthusiastic about technology and innovation, with a passion for encouraging digital literacy.
• Possess excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
