In partnership with Legal & General PLC and NatWest Pension Trustee Limited, with hugely ambitious (and very achievable) growth plans, we are seeking a Commis Chef to join our expanding kitchen team.

You will assist the kitchen team in ensuring all food is correctly prepared and presented to customers to the correct standards and quality. Delivering excellent customer service will be second nature to you and you will pride yourself on creating and maintaining exceptional customer relationships.

The Role

  • Assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes that are interesting, well prepared and presented to delight the customer
  • Working closely with the Head Chef to complete a full food service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Undertaking preparation of café food (brunches and light lunches)
  • Helping maintain a clean and hygienic working environment
  • Upholding current and future Health & Safety legislation
  • Providing an outstanding customer experience to our residents and guests.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience of working as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant in a busy kitchen
  • Great understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Working towards a Level 2 in Food Safety or equivalent would be desired
  • Creativity and passionate for food design, preparation, nutrition, and presentation.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative without ongoing direct supervision.
