Role Overview
To carry out the servicing and reactive repairs as directed by the team leader to the gas and associated systems and plant across a large multi facility site. In addition, there are ancillary systems and plant which are also supported by the Gas team. The candidate will need to become familiar with these items and their maintenance requirements. Particular emphasis on safe working procedures are required and the successful candidate will be expected to embrace these procedures in full.

Role Overview

What You'll Do
- To undertake the Planned Maintenance of Gas Appliances and installations, to ensure compliance with the specification, PPM, Schedules EMCOR UK Gas Procedures and site procedures.
- To carry out all works in accordance with gas legislation and Gas Safe information.
- To respond to emergency call-out request to ensure clients’ systems are not prejudiced and to maintain the continuity of operation as far as practical circumstance will allow.
- Assist the Gas Supervisor with the requirements of EMCOR UK Gas Procedures.
- To provide emergency call-out in respect of all clients within the HVAC Mobile Service department in line with a rota basis.
- To be efficient, polite of smart appearance and diligent in the discharge of the duties required, including the wearing of the correct company uniform.
- To achieve a prompt effective response to emergency situations being capable to diagnose faults and initiating action to prevent deterioration in environmental conditions within the premises.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections
- To conduct the operation of the contract in a pro-active manner so as to minimise difficulties with the building environmental systems.
- To ensure that all communication channels are utilised in order to keep both the client and the Company informed of relevant information.
- Perform clerical duties as required by the job
- To recognise the importance of energy management and operate the appliances to benefit the long term interest of the customer.
- To liaise with specialist Sub-Contractors and engineers with other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the plant / area without disruption to the client.
- To represent EMCOR and deliver excellent customer service.
- Attend the training programs prescribed by EMCOR including additional requirements of the client due to the nature of their work.
Who you'll be:
- NVQ or equivalent gas or plumbing qualification (Level 3 NVQ in Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance)
- ACS / OFTEC – Qualifications
- Domestic CCN1, CENWAT, DAH1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1
- Commercial - desirable CODNCO1 COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1,CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A,
- OFTEC- desirable OFT10-600a, OFT105E, OFT10-101
- Domestic / Commercial Gas – Oil and LPG experience a plus
- Gas Safe Registration
- Fgas Qualified desirable
- Electrical qualifications desirable
- Experience and knowledge of domestic / commercial / domestic properties
- Experience of install desirable
- Experience in plumbing and heating
- Good oral, written communication skills.
- Good technical knowledge as well as the ability to multi task.
- Must hold full UK Driving Licence
