G4S Facilities Management are seeking a dedicated Cleaning team Manager to join our team to oversee all on-site cleaning and housekeeping operations in Cheltenham. This is a vital management role where you will be responsible for leading and developing a large team to deliver efficient, cost- effective service that meets and exceeds client expectations.

This is a vital management role where you will be responsible for leading and developing a large team to deliver efficient, cost- effective service that meets and exceeds client expectations.
Responsibilities
As the Cleaning Team Manager, you will be the primary communication link and a key part of our management team. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of up to 3 team leaders and 35 operatives. You will work closely with supervisors to ensure your team is skilled, motivated, and performing at maximum efficiency.
- Operational Planning: In partnership with team leaders and supervisors, you will create work schedules and resource plans, including contingency measures, to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Performance & Compliance: You will collaborate with the Head of Soft Services to monitor service activities and performance levels to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, managers, and the client to understand their needs and enhance the company's reputation. You will also be the primary point of escalation for any service-related issues.
- Reporting and Analysis: Collate, analyze, and review information like budgets, hours, and forecasts to monitor and report on your team's performance. You will also be responsible for ensuring G4S cleaning assets are properly maintained.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to a strict audit schedule to ensure all cleaning services consistently meet internal and external standards. You will also stay current with legislative changes, ensuring all operations comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- People Management: Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer Service: A strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Reliability & Adaptability: Conscientious, reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic with a proactive approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in computer literacy
- Financial Acumen: Experience with budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.
- Health & Safety: A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation
