Job Description

Are you passionate about working with children and eager to begin a career in early years education? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as a Childcare Apprentice! No prior experience is necessary—full training will be provided.

About the Role: As an apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced Room Leaders, Nursery Managers, and other team members to help deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. You will assist in creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children, both indoors and outdoors, while gaining practical experience and completing the academic components of your apprenticeship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help plan and deliver play-based activities that promote each child’s learning and development.
  • Ensure the nursery is a safe, stimulating, and caring space for children, staff, and visitors.
  • Learn and adhere to nursery policies, including safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, maintaining clear communication.
  • Support the nursery team in meeting Ofsted requirements and ensuring high standards of care and education.

Training

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Practitioner – Level 2.
