The Opportunity


Dynex Semiconductor Ltd. seeks to appoint a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its global technology strategy and engineering functions. This is a critical executive role at a time of strategic growth and technological evolution, positioned at the intersection of innovation, product leadership, and application.


As CTO, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and form part of the Executive Leadership Team, helping to define and deliver the company’s strategic roadmap. You will be responsible for driving R&D, product and process engineering excellence, and ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of innovation in high-performance power semiconductors.

Key Accountabilities


  • Define and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned to market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
  • Lead a diverse, high-calibre team spanning R&D, product and process engineering, ensuring strong collaboration with global counterparts.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement across all engineering disciplines.
  • Oversee programme delivery to time, cost, and quality parameters, with a focus on commercially viable, technically superior product outcomes.
  • Maintain and optimise investment planning, technical partnerships, and customer-focused development.
  • Act as a technical ambassador for Dynex across the UK, Europe, China, and beyond.


Candidate Profile


We are seeking an experienced technology leader with a proven track record of success within an advanced engineering environment. The ideal candidate will bring:


  • A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of senior leadership experience in an R&D-intensive organisation.
  • Depth of knowledge in semiconductor device development and manufacturing, ideally with experience in Si-based and WBG/UWBG materials.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to align engineering output with market and customer needs.
  • Experience managing multicultural teams and collaborating with global colleagues.
