PURPOSE

This pivotal role plays a crucial part in driving the success of our organisation. It's all about crafting and executing strategic procurement solutions that not only empower major project delivery teams but also propel the entire business towards greater heights. As part of this role, you will be responsible for nurturing and overseeing a portfolio of commodities and categories, all dedicated to championing our company's overarching goals and aspirations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


Lead Commodity Management and Strategy

  • Manage a diverse range of commodities and categories.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company's overall objectives, driving growth and profitability.
  • Identify and address supply chain risks and opportunities within commodity strategies.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Champion best practices throughout the strategy lifecycle.


Innovate and Enhance Procurement

  • Create specialised tools and processes for effective strategy development.
  • Foster a responsive and proactive knowledge base within a cross-functional commodity team.
  • Collaborate on problem resolution during strategy implementation and maintenance.
  • Ensure alignment of commodity activities with Supply Chain goals and adherence to procedures.
  • Contribute to projects supporting commodity development and Procurement function growth.


Strengthen Collaborative Relationships

  • Cultivate value-added relationships with the Material Management team, cross-functional departments, and suppliers.
  • Assist sites in resolving supply chain-related issues.
  • Drive positive change in externally purchased materials and services.
  • Maintain accurate and professional management of Procurement data in Business Central.
  • These revisions reduce the number of bullet points while maintaining clarity and engagement.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU


Experience:


Procurement and Supply Chain Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in procurement and supply chain roles.

Supply Chain Solutions: Proven knowledge and track record in developing and implementing effective supply chain solutions.

Capex Procurement Advantageous: Experience in Capex procurement is a valuable asset.

Industry Experience: Preferably, background experience in construction, manufacturing, or engineering environments.

Educational Background: A degree in business or a technical field, with a specialisation in procurement and supply chain management, is highly desirable.
