Category Manager - Off-trade
We’re looking for a dynamic Off-trade Category Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our category across the Convenience and Cash & Carry channel. This is a chance to make a real impact by driving insight, influence, and growth—ensuring that our portfolio of much-loved beers reaches more customers, more often, in more places.

As part of the AUK Category team, you’ll be the voice of the customer and the champion of our brands. You’ll create compelling stories built on facts and data, to unlock opportunities that are both commercially sound and mutually sustainable.
This is not just about managing numbers—it’s about shaping the future of how our brands appear on shelves, influencing buying decisions, and driving category thinking that benefits everyone involved. You’ll be directly responsible for several high-priority accounts, while also supporting the wider customer base with analysis, collaboration, and forward-looking insight. Alongside day-to-day customer work, you’ll play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives and driving the annual planning process.
Success in this role comes down to influence, insight, and impact. You’ll nurture strong commercial relationships, guiding buyers toward fixture development that supports both their growth and our brand ambitions. You’ll use your objectivity and impartiality to embed our category strategy with credibility, while bringing fresh, innovative solutions to the table that enhance availability and profitability. From leading customer range reviews to advising on annual channel plans, you’ll ensure our brands take every opportunity to grow.
To thrive, you’ll bring proven FMCG experience, ideally with exposure to category management. You’ll be highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, adept at handling complex datasets, and familiar with market data sources such as Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, or dunnhumby. Just as importantly, you’ll be a confident communicator, at ease presenting to senior stakeholders both inside and outside the business.
The right person will have the ability to cut through data complexity and turn it into compelling customer stories. You’ll know how to balance autonomy with collaboration, prioritise effectively, and deliver results with tenacity and commitment. Above all, you’ll bring genuine passion for the category, with the curiosity and drive to make an impact.
