Role responsibilities

The BIM Co-ordinator will provide BIM support and assistance across all Transport for Wales (TfW) Infrastructure projects such as rail and bus.

• Support the BIM Manager and project teams in their understanding of BIM requirements by developing and integrating the project information requirements into the BIM Exchange information Requirements (EIR) and reviewing BIM Execution Plan (BEP) documents.

• Maintain BIM processes and standards by providing training and support to TfW project teams to ensure that TfW adhere to BIM standards ISO19650 and champion BIM.

• Support Systems Engineering and Integration within projects, by supporting TfW Engineers in conducting design reviews to ensure engineering teams are supported with the appropriate technology to access and review designs.

• Assist with the development of BIM lessons learned across all stakeholders by supporting Value Engineering workshops to ensure that TfW adhere to BIM standards ISO19650 and champion BIM.

Who we’re looking for

• Possess or working towards a relevant qualification in Engineering, Built Environment CAD Design, BIM, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience of communicating and collaborating with designers, architects, contractors and internal/external stakeholders
• Practical Experience in document control system E.g., Enterprise Bridge Insight (EB) or BIM software, such as ProjectWise, Revit or Navisworks or others.
• Good understanding of BIM processes in alignment of standard ISO19650 e.g., EIR Exchange Information Requirements.

Welsh Language Skills

The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.

Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. Cyfrifoldebau’r swydd

Bydd y Cydlynydd BIM yn darparu cymorth a chefnogaeth BIM ar draws holl brosiectau Seilwaith Trafnidiaeth Cymru (TrC) fel rheilffyrdd a bysiau.

• Cefnogi’r Rheolwr BIM a thimau prosiect i ddeall gofynion BIM drwy ddatblygu ac integreiddio gofynion gwybodaeth y prosiect i’r Gofynion Cyfnewid Gwybodaeth BIM (EIR) ac adolygu dogfennau Cynllun Gweithredu BIM (BEP).

• Cynnal prosesau a safonau BIM drwy ddarparu hyfforddiant a chymorth i dimau prosiect TrC i sicrhau bod TrC yn glynu wrth safonau BIM ISO19650 ac yn hyrwyddo BIM.

• Cefnogi Peirianneg Systemau ac Integreiddio mewn prosiectau, drwy gefnogi Peirianwyr TrC i gynnal adolygiadau dylunio i sicrhau bod timau peirianneg yn cael eu cefnogi gyda’r dechnoleg briodol i gael gafael ar ddyluniadau ac adolygu dyluniadau.

• Helpu i ddatblygu’r gwersi BIM a ddysgwyd ar draws yr holl randdeiliaid drwy gefnogi gweithdai Peirianneg Gwerth i sicrhau bod TrC yn glynu wrth safonau BIM ISO19650 ac yn hyrwyddo BIM.

• Meddu ar neu’n gweithio tuag at gymhwyster perthnasol mewn Peirianneg, Dylunio CAD yr Amgylchedd Adeiledig, BIM, neu brofiad perthnasol cyfatebol.
• Profiad o gyfathrebu a chydweithio â dylunwyr, penseiri, contractwyr a rhanddeiliaid mewnol/allanol
• Profiad ymarferol o system rheoli dogfennau ee, Enterprise Bridge Insight (EB) neu feddalwedd BIM, fel ProjectWise, Revit neu Navisworks neu eraill.
• Dealltwriaeth dda o brosesau BIM yn unol â gofynion gwybodaeth safonol ISO19650 ee EIR Gofynion Cyfnewid Gwybodaeth.
