The Wood Green NHS Community Diagnostic Centre (WG CDC) is part of a growing number of community diagnostic centres closely linked with the Whittington Health NHS Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new start-up developed and managed by the NHS which will aim to improve healthcare outcomes and make our NHS more resilient than ever.
We are looking for a dynamic, committed and motivated radiographers who are proficient and skilled at CT and/or MRI.

As a Band 7 Radiographer you will be expected to manage the work area, providing professional clinical advice and support to Radiographers, students and Radiographic Assistants under your supervision.
The post holder is responsible for assisting the management of the radiology services across the Trust as well as developing quality Radiology services that are efficient, responsive and meet the requirements of the organisation and the wider community.
The post holder will also be encouraged to take on line management responsibilities in relation to rostering, appraisals, performance, training and sickness absence.
Acquisition of CT & MRI examinations in line with IR(ME)R and IRR regulations
Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patients
Work harmoniously with colleagues of all professions to enhance the working environment of the CDC
Contribute towards the development of the CDC
Training of staff and students
Take part in MDTs
Actively engage in the development of services across the NCL sector as appropriate
Medical services have been delivered on the Whittington Hospital site for over 500 years. On 1st April 2011, Whittington Health was launched as a new Integrated Care Organisation (ICO) comprising The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, NHS Islington and NHS Haringey. The Whittington and the community health services in Islington and Haringey are award winning organisations, delivering acute and community based health services to a population of 443,000 people.
The organisation is the biggest employer in the area, with over 4,500 staff; delivering healthcare not only on the acute hospital site which has 420 beds, but also from a variety of other community based health centres and through visits to patients homes across the boroughs to address the health needs of the local population. Whittington Health also works with other health, social care and voluntary sector partners to support patients and service users from their initial appointment whether it be with a community health team or at the hospital, all the way through to treatment and tailored after care.
We are one of the three main teaching campuses for the Royal Free and University College Medical School.
