Band 3 Pharmacy Production/Clinical Trials Assistant

Pharmacy Production Queen's Hospital, Pharmacy Production Clinical Trials Assistant, Band 3, 37.5 hours per week. We require an experienced member of Pharmacy Production staff to join our team working in our licenced, commercial aseptic unit at Queen's Hospital. The postholder will be responsiblefor the maintainance of cancer services clinical trials and preparation of aseptic products including cytotoxic clinical trials medicines and dispensing of support medications.
The postholder will be expected to perform administrative tasks relating to clinical trials, data management, maintainance of excel spreadsheets and clinical trial invoicing. They should understand the Health and Safety, Medicines Act, Misuse of Drugs Act, and Control of Sustances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). They will also be responsible for maintaining Pharmacy site filesand preparing and dispensing Investigational Medicinal Products following the Clinical Trials Regulations 2004 and guidance, including Good Manufacturing Practice and Gooid Clinical Practice. In addition, the postholder is expected to follow clinical trials procedures and maintain high standards in service delivery.
The post holder will assist the Clinical Trial Pharmacy Technicians with the day to day running of Oncology and Haematology Clinical trials.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.
We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
