AWS Cloud Solutions Architect - JP Morgan - London - 10 months contract - Hybrid - PAYE
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to join JP Morgan in London on an initial 10 months contract to help develop JP Morgan's next generation internal cloud platform.
About the Role:
Join JPMorgan Chase as an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect within the Corporate Technology Cloud Engineering Enablement function. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies. You will leverage your advanced architecture capabilities to enhance and develop architecture platforms, support the adoption of strategic global solutions, and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes. Become a driving force behind the next generation of cloud platforms at JPMorgan Chase. Apply your expertise to ensure the platform meets Corporate Technology (CT) LoB requirements and support early adoption of applications onto the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and make decisions on improvements to current technologies.
- Serve as the function's go-to subject matter expert.
- Contribute to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies.
Responsible Areas:
- Governance Frameworks: Partner with relevant teams to define governance frameworks for compliance and security, including PCI/SOX and HIPAA governance.
- Shared Responsibility Model: Develop a model covering pathways and processes for applications to move into the new cloud platform (Atlas 2.0).
- Adoption and Validation: Test and validate application groups and new features as they are released in Atlas 2.0. Build out adoption procedures, CT Engineering channel, and contribute to central learning and onboarding materials.
- Migration Pathways: Uplift Legion (our last mile deployment tool) to enable client deployments to Atlas 2.0, facilitate migration pathways, and collaborate with Application Owners and the central Cloud providers for execution.
- Influencing Architecture Strategy: Ensure Atlas 2.0's architecture aligns with CT's needs and requirements. Take the lead in some cabinets and tiger groups.
- Atlas 2 CT Lab: Partner with our developer experience team on the enablement of ATLAS 2.0 Cloud Lab.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in AWS and data management concepts with years of applied experience.
- Extensive experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate, and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Expertise in one or more programming languages.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines.
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
*Please note that this role will initially be working on a hybrid model of 3 days in office and 2 days WFH moving to fully onsite in the future*
