As an Associate Scientist, you will play a vital role in performing standard experimental procedures and laboratory activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a scientific environment. You will contribute to the advancement of projects by following established protocols, ensuring high-quality work, and continuously developing your technical knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory or process tasks while ensuring compliance with safety (H&S) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Identify and escalate issues to line managers or colleagues as appropriate.
  • Lead simple experimental protocols under supervision.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, other departments, and clients.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all experimental work, preparing data for inclusion in reports and presentations.
  • Support method and process development as well as validation activities.
  • Provide training to colleagues on standard laboratory and process activities.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations, procedures, and equipment.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols, procedures, and reports, adhering to company quality standards.
  • Prioritize and manage own workload, ensuring alignment with department or project goals through regular reviews with the line manager.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory procedures and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive in identifying problems and seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Desire to continuously develop technical knowledge and expertise.
