Ready for a new challenge? Siemens Mobility, Rail Infrastructure is on the hunt for a dynamic Manufacturing Operations Director to lead our innovative manufacturing and logistics of top-tier Signalling, Electrification, and On-Board Communications products.
You'll also take the reins as the overall Site Director at our Chippenham location, which houses manufacturing, R&D, and project execution teams. Think of it as a dual role where you'll drive tech innovation and foster a collaborative environment.

You’ll make a difference by...
- Manufacturing Excellence: Ensure on-time, in-full delivery to both internal and global external customers.
- Quality & Reliability: Maintain the highest standards of product quality and reliability.
- Cost Control: Manage product costs and achieve purchase savings.
- P&L Management: Take full responsibility for the financial performance of the manufacturing operation.
- Health & Safety: Champion the health, safety, and wellbeing of all manufacturing employees, embedding safety practices and monitoring key indicators.
- Strategic Leadership: Shape the strategic direction of the manufacturing function, engaging with stakeholders and contributing to overall Rail Infrastructure policy and strategy.
- Performance Management: Drive safe, profitable, and timely delivery of products through strong, collaborative leadership.
- Financial & Commercial Management: Oversee financial results, focusing on budget, safety, resourcing, and customer management. Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to manage contractual and commercial disputes effectively.
- Innovative Environment: Work with cutting-edge technology and products in the rail infrastructure sector.
- Leadership Role: Lead a dedicated team and make a significant impact on our manufacturing operations.
- Professional Growth: Opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement.
- Educational Background: Degree or higher qualification in Engineering or Science.
- Professional Status: Chartered in an appropriate field.
- Leadership Training: Proven leadership and management training.
- Experience: Extensive experience in manufacturing, engineering, and logistics, with a strong track record in P&L management, quality improvement, and customer-facing roles.
- Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and safety leadership.
