BASE: Your primary base will be Leicester Royal Infirmary, however
travel between UHL’s hospital sites will be required.
HOURS: 37.5 per week
REPORTS TO: Advanced Specialist/Team Leader Biomedical Scientist
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Deputy Service Manager
LOCATION:
All 3 Sites; Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General & Glenfield Hospital.
Working Pattern
Shifts covering 24/7 working. 37.5 hours on average per week
We have an exciting opportunity for people with a Foundation degree or equivalent who want to work as Associate Practitioners in the Blood Sciences Department. Full training will be given.
Candidates with relevant hospital laboratory experience, who meet the criteria to start training to be an Associate Practitioner, may be considered.
You will be a well motivated team member who is able to prioritise and work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You must be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills, have a flexible approach and be capable of working accurately and efficiently under pressure.
There will be a requirement to work on any of Leicester’s 3 hospital sites, any time over a 24/7 period.
CPD is actively encouraged.
