An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our Point of Care Team based at Raigmore hospital, Inverness, but supporting NHS Highland and Argyll and Bute.

The POCT team is covering an expanding service and the successful candidate for this post will be involved in the implementation of new POCT equipment, auditing existing services, troubleshooting problems that occur and training staff on the wards.

We are looking for a dynamic person with minimum SVQ level 3 or equivalent in a science or healthcare subject. They need to be both comfortable in an office using computer applications as well as out on the wards in front of staff training them on equipment they will be about to use. Knowledge and awareness of the use of POCT would be beneficial.

Whilst the work will be predominantly at Raigmore Hospital, periodically they will need to travel to other hospitals within NHS Highland, and so a driving licence will be essential.

Part-time hours may be considered providing the full 37 hours are filled by suitable candidates.
