About our Climate Intelligence team:
The Climate Intelligence team empowers clients to adapt and thrive in a changing world by combining cutting-edge data, technology, and domain expertise. We deliver actionable insights on climate hazards and risks, enabling informed decision-making for infrastructure, investment, and operational resilience. Our work spans hazard and peril data sets on a global scale, to asset level climate risk scoring, supporting predominately the insurance and banking sector globally. At the heart of our mission are three pillars: data, systems, and people—working together to build a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.
About the Role:
As Associate Director, you will take on a strategic leadership role, with a strong focus on managing and developing a high-performing team of around 20 professionals across the UK and Netherlands. You’ll work closely with the Director and senior leadership to:

- Lead, inspire, and grow a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
- Mentor and support team members’ professional development, ensuring high engagement and retention.
- Drive operational excellence, aligning team performance with strategic goals.
- Champion innovation in climate risk data and modelling, while ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Strengthen client relationships and support business development initiatives.
- Oversee financial performance, resource planning, and delivery efficiency.
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced leader who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and people leadership to help shape the future of our Climate Intelligence team.
You’ll likely have:
- Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, ideally within consultancy, climate risk, data science, or financial services.
- A strong leadership style that balances empathy, accountability, and inspiration—able to motivate individuals and foster a culture of trust, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- A track record of mentoring and coaching team members, supporting career development, and building succession plans.
- Commercially astute with a strong understanding of climate risk, data modelling, or the finance/insurance sector
- Excellent communication skills and able to build strong relationships internally and externally
- A performance-driven mindset, with a track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment.
- A genuine passion for sustainability and innovation, and a desire to lead meaningful change.
- A relevant degree (Chartered status desirable)
- Experience in a leadership role within a technical or consultancy environment
- Willingness to travel as needed
