Description

The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the site located within the airport. This includes overseeing daily activities, managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and maximising sales and profitability. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role ensuring a positive experience for travellers while upholding the company's standards within the airport environment.

What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with airport authorities and management to address any logistical issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Implement strategies to optimise efficiency and productivity, such as streamlining workflows and improving processes.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of stall staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Schedule staff shifts effectively to meet operational needs and maintain excellent customer service standards.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, resolving any customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall experience.
  • Ensure that the store maintains a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for customers at all times.
  • Manage inventory levels and control costs to maximise profitability while minimising waste.
  • Maintain a good planning in regards to airside passes.
  • Comply at all times with the airside responsibility as pass holder and monitor other team members and passengers for any issues/ discrepancies.

Who you are:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the food and beverage industry, ideally in a fast-paced airport environment.
  • Able to undertake a criminal record check.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for customers.
  • Strong leadership qualities and can effectively motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and can multitask effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and resourceful in addressing challenges and finding solutions to operational issues.
  • You thrive in a collaborative team environment and can work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility in hours, airport shifts can start at 3am.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and business needs, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
