Job Description

We're recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join us. We're offering a competitive base salary. Are you looking to grow your finance career in a dynamic and supportive environment? We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced business where your contributions will make a real impact.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting mortgage origination and servicing processes across all products
• Managing the transfer of loans to the Funding Team and ensuring compliance with criteria
• Handling loan cashflows including redemptions, optional payments, income, and fees
• Performing daily and monthly reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Reviewing and improving processes and controls in a changing environment
• Assisting with internal and external reporting to meet deadlines
• Supporting purchase ledger and cash management activities
• Contributing to audit preparation and compliance with statutory requirements
  
  
  

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

• Working towards a recognised finance qualification (ACCA, ACA, AAT, CIMA or equivalent)
• Understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles
• Experience in the financial services industry (preferred but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to support wider business projects and initiatives
